CASCADE EFFECT have released a new music video for “Rogue Wave,” the latest single from the San Diego metal band’s upcoming full-length album The Weight of Nothingness, scheduled for January 8, 2027 via Eclipse Records.
The Wacken Metal Battle USA winners are mixing punishing riffs with a bigger emotional story on the new single. Directed by Oz Riveros, the video uses ocean imagery, shifting lights and archival memories to connect the song’s crushing sound with its themes of change and human connection.

Singer Dustin Keimig explains in the press announcement that the song is about appreciating the people and experiences in front of us before life changes, especially when technology and constant information compete for our attention.
The Weight of Nothingness is a thirteen-track album blending deathcore, groove metal and melodic death metal. It was engineered and mixed by Matthew Denis and mastered by Miro Kiiski.
