Daniel Roebuck came ready to talk horror. Then he turned the interview around on Jam Man.
At Frightmare in the Falls, Daniel joined Remzi “Jam Man” Yates to talk Rob Zombie, The Munsters, Terrifier 3 and life beyond the movie set. Watch the full interview above.
Standing by Rob Zombie
Daniel says their friendship began with toy collecting, before Rob became his director. He explains why he understands having scenes cut from Halloween and The Lords of Salem, recalls the Morris Green talk-show material from The Devil’s Rejects, and describes Zombie’s hands-on attention to detail.
The Munsters backlash
As a longtime fan who played the Count, Daniel felt the backlash personally. He challenges people judging a film from an early picture: “Don’t burn books before you read them.”
He begged to join Terrifier 3
Daniel says he begged Damien Leone for a role. He recalls laughing during the Santa bar scene with Clint Howard and David Howard Thornton, and playing two very different Santas for Terrifier 3 and Saint Nick of Bethlehem within the same week.
“This kid is going places”
Then Daniel takes over. He swaps seats with Jam Man to ask about wrestling, football, college and faith. After praising the questions, he tells viewers: “This kid is going places.”
The unexpected switch is the standout: a horror interview turns into a personal conversation about ambition, belief and figuring out your future. Daniel’s humor and willingness to give a young interviewer his time make it memorable.
