Lauren LaVera isn’t holding back when it comes to Sienna Shaw’s future. At Frightmare in the Falls, Rocking With Jam Man sat down with the Terrifier star to ask the questions fans are debating: Will Terrifier 4 give Sienna a satisfying ending? What happens to Jonathan? And can Art the Clown work without a worthy rival?
She still hasn’t read Terrifier 4
LaVera said Damian Leone still hasn’t shown her the fourth movie’s script. She believes the movie should answer questions about both Art the Clown and Sienna’s father, and suspects fitting everything into one screenplay is part of the challenge.
What would make Sienna’s ending satisfying?
LaVera said she has an idea of the ending Leone originally envisioned and thinks that plan could make for a satisfying conclusion. She believes Sienna deserves a happy ending, while acknowledging that horror fans are divided.
Jonathan deserves closure
Asked about Jonathan’s uncertain fate, LaVera said he deserves closure whether he survived or not. Jonathan is one of her favorite characters, and she praised Elliott Fullam.
Does Art need Sienna?
LaVera compared their rivalry to Batman and the Joker: great villains benefit from a compelling force for good to confront them. In her view, that rivalry helped make Terrifier 2 and 3 connect with audiences.
She’ll challenge the ending if needed
Asked whether she would tell Leone if she disagreed with Sienna’s ending, LaVera said yes without hesitation. She described her contractual commitment to the fourth film and her willingness to give honest feedback.
And her death-row meal?
Chocolate chip cookies: her favorite food and, she says, her first word was “cookie.”
