Texas Hippie Coalition guitarist Nevada Romo joins Remzi “Jam Man” Yates for a full Rocking With Jam Man interview.
Nevada Romo Talks With Rocking With Jam Man
Nevada Romo has spent the better part of a decade helping shape the guitar attack of Texas Hippie Coalition, the Oklahoma-and-Texas-rooted band known for its self-described “Red Dirt Metal” sound. Romo joined THC in 2016 and has become an increasingly important part of the band’s writing and live identity, while his brother Rado Romo holds down bass duties alongside Big Dad Ritch, Corban Vincent and Joey Mandigo.
The timing of this Rocking With Jam Man interview comes during one of the busiest chapters in the band’s history. Texas Hippie Coalition is celebrating 25 years and has released two new albums, Band of Outlaws and Stoned Cowboys. The records are also the first releases on the band’s own Big Dad Records imprint, giving THC a more direct hand in how its music reaches fans.
Romo’s role in the current version of the band has grown well beyond simply holding down guitar parts. Texas Hippie Coalition’s official biography points to his continued development as both a player and a writer, while the band’s current lineup pairs his style with guitarist Corban Vincent and the rhythm section of Rado Romo and Joey Mandigo behind Big Dad Ritch.
Texas Hippie Coalition Keep Moving Forward
For a band that has survived lineup changes, long stretches on the road and major shifts in the music business, THC continues to lean into the mix that built its following in the first place: heavy riffs, Southern swagger, country influence and a live show designed to hit hard.
The band’s current tour schedule brings Texas Hippie Coalition to Buffalo, New York, on October 23, 2026 at Rec Room, giving Western New York fans a chance to see the current lineup shortly after the release of the two new records.
