ABIOTIC guitarist John Matos has taken an unexpected detour into family-friendly metal. Matos teamed with his daughter for a heavy cover of Ms. Rachel’s “I Love a Rainbow,” turning a children’s favorite into a metal performance built around the father-daughter collaboration.
It’s the kind of left-field crossover that works because it doesn’t take itself too seriously while still putting real musicianship front and center.
