CALLIDER have shared “Stars Shine True,” a new video and single featuring Disarmonia Mundi, ahead of the October 23 release of The Explorer. The track is the fourth advance single from Stefan Lange’s second CALLIDER album, which is set to arrive through Motor Entertainment.
Navigating by the stars
The song draws its central image from Polynesian navigators who relied on the stars to find their way across the ocean. Lange uses that history as a metaphor for the principles that help people find direction today. Musically, he describes the track as fast, heavy melodic death metal that opens into an atmospheric chorus, with energetic drumming and prominent lead guitar work.
The album follows 2023’s Southern Stars and expands CALLIDER’s sound with wind instruments, acoustics and non-Western musical influences alongside its heavier arrangements. The record’s cover artwork features a Polynesian catamaran navigating beneath the stars.
‘The Explorer’ arrives October 23
The project includes vocals by Stefan Lange, Florian Stierstorfer, Marc Zeberer and Vanessa Marx, with guitar contributions from Ettore Rigotti, Kristopher Karla and Lange, and drums from Dominik Back. “Stars Shine True” joins earlier singles “By The Dawn,” “Kalamas” and “Hard To Regret” as a preview of the full album.
