German heavy metal veterans GRAVE DIGGER will return with a new studio album, Faces of Pain, on January 15, 2027 through Reaper Entertainment.
Frontman Chris Boltendahl says the record grew out of a particularly strong creative partnership with guitarist Tobias Kersting and describes the album as a combination of the trademarks longtime fans expect with a more varied late-career approach.
The album moves between faster cuts such as “Faces of Pain” and “Satan’s Tango,” mid-tempo tracks including “The Number,” “Legends Never Die” and “When The World Is Calling You,” and darker material such as “Dead Sun” and “Say Hello To The Devil.”
Faces of Pain was produced by Boltendahl at Graveyard Studios in Senden, Germany, with cover art by Uwe Jarling. The release follows the band’s 45th-anniversary album Bone Collector.
GRAVE DIGGER will support the record with the 2027 Legends Never Die Tour, joined by Motorjesus and Warwolf on dates across Germany, Switzerland and other European stops beginning in January.
