Nashville symphonic power metal band Valkyrie’s Fire have released a new video for “Evermore,” a track inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s classic poem The Raven.
Instead of staying inside the original poem’s endless grief, the band uses the song to move from loss and isolation toward memory, healing and survival. The visual begins in a darker, period-inspired setting before expanding into a brighter full-band performance as the song’s message changes.
“Evermore” appears on Valkyrie’s Fire’s full-length album Out of Darkness, released September 18 through Eclipse Records. The record was produced and engineered by Joey Grimaldi and includes “Burning Sky,” featuring Mikael Sehlin of Amaranthe.
The band features Bettie Floyd and Adam Sanders on vocals, Joey Grimaldi on guitar, Ryan Metroka on drums, Dave Hale on bass, and Salem Belladonna on keys and cello.
