WOLFBRIGADE are back with “Doomrunner,” a new single and video from the Swedish band’s upcoming album Howl From Underground. The record arrives October 9, 2026, through Metal Blade Records, following 2024’s Life Knife Death and 2025’s live release Kill To Live.
The band’s message behind “Doomrunner” is a bleak one: moving forward even when the universe offers no guarantees. The song leads into a full-length release that finds WOLFBRIGADE changing its recording process after years of producing and mixing its albums in-house.
A different approach in the studio
For Howl From Underground, the band worked with producer Lawrence Mackrory at Necromorbus Studio. Rather than constructing each track layer by layer, the musicians focused on capturing the tension and energy of playing together as a unit.
The album also follows drummer David “Dadde” Stark’s return to the group. He previously performed with WOLFBRIGADE from 2002 to 2015, and his return helped fuel the band’s renewed attention to its older material and new songs.
Album due October 9
The 12-track album includes “Doomrunner,” “Howl from Underground,” “Cold War Bootlicker” and “Man Is Wolf To Man.” It will be issued on CD, digitally and in multiple vinyl editions.
WOLFBRIGADE’s current lineup is Micke Dahl on vocals, Erik Norberg and Jocke Rydbjer on guitar, Johan Erken on bass and Dadde Stark on drums.
Watch, stream and preorder through Metal Blade Records.
