Jam Man take: Swim the Current are dialing back the swagger and going straight for the gut on “The Price We Pay.” The song is about grief, memory and the people who help carry you when life gets heavy—and the addition of Black Label Society’s JD DeServio on piano gives it an extra emotional weight.
