EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW • ROCKING WITH JAM MAN • OCTOBER 14, 2026
Necro isn’t the kind of guest who needs another interview asking him where his name came from and what his favorite album is. He’s made a career out of doing things his own way, from the Brooklyn underground to metal collaborations, independent records and movie sets. Jam Man wanted the stories behind all of it.
The rapper, producer, guitarist and Psycho+Logical-Records founder joined Remzi “Jam Man” Yates for a long conversation that gets past the usual press-sheet questions. The full conversation runs 1 hour, 40 minutes and 48 seconds, with the music, movie stories and moments you won’t hear in a quick promo interview.

Suge Knight, Death Row Records and a Career That Could Have Gone Another Way
Some of the most interesting stories in Necro’s career aren’t just about the records that came out. They’re about the offers and decisions that could have changed everything. Jam Man gets into Necro’s history with Suge Knight and Death Row Records—one of those stories worth hearing from the person who was actually there.
Nems and the New York Underground
Necro’s impact goes beyond his own music. His connection to Nems, the business of being an independent artist, and the fiercely competitive world of New York hip-hop all belong in a conversation about the scene he helped shape.
From Brutal Beats to the Safdie Brothers
There’s a lot more to Necro than one sound. Before the rap career, there were heavy guitars and death metal. Along the way came collaborations with musicians from across metal and hardcore, and acting work connected to filmmakers Josh and Benny Safdie. Jam Man brings those different sides of Necro’s story into the same interview.
