BOSCO SACRO are building something far stranger than a standard doom-metal record. The Italian quartet have shared “Silence Dances,” the third advance track from Inhabit, arriving November 6 through Supernatural Cat Records.
Recorded with producer Lorenzo Stecconi in Tuscany, the eight-track album was developed collectively in the rehearsal room before a seven-day recording session. The band’s blend of doom, slowcore, trip-hop and dreamlike atmospheres makes this a release worth watching for listeners who want heavy music to take unexpected turns.
Even the physical artwork is part of the story: Roberta Busato’s clay sculpture Testa di Terra appears on the cover, while the limited-edition packaging uses layered cutouts and colored inserts. The band also has December performances booked in Budapest, Vienna, Hradec Králové and Nuremberg.

“Silence Dances” is the captivating third single from Inhabit, the ethereal second album from Italian ambient doom/trip-hop quartet BOSCO SACRO. The album will be released worldwide next week on Supernatural Cat Records, the label operated by members of Ufomammut and the Malleus Rock Art Collective.
BOSCO SACRO’s Inhabit is an exercise in sonic existentialism and a bold departure from their prior work. Entirely composed live in their rehearsal room and recorded by the band over a seven-day session with producer Lorenzo Stecconi, the album captures a raw, collective energy. Across eight interconnected tracks, the band crafts a modern ritual of ego dissolution and rebirth, weaving a diverse sonic tapestry where the crushing weight of doom and slowcore meets the weightless beauty of dreamgaze, ambient, and trip-hop.
Inhabit was recorded by the band with producer Lorenzo Stecconi (Amenra, Zu, Ufomammut, Lento) at Daniele Onori’s AMM, Monteggiori Studio, immersed in the hills of Tuscany, mixed and mastered by Stecconi at Triple Sun in Rome. Fans of Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins, Lankum, Portishead, Massive Attack, Esben And The Witch, and Third And The Mortal, should not miss BOSCO SACRO.
The dialogue between the physical and the metaphysical is embodied by the album’s artwork. The cover features Testa di Terra (Head of Earth), a striking raw clay sculpture by Italian artist Roberta Busato. Just like the music within, the sculpture is born from the soil, fragile yet enduring. Depicted with closed eyes, the face alludes to a deeply meditative state, serving as the ultimate visual incarnation of the album’s concept: a bold invitation to step out of the noise of customary, ordered life, embrace the fertile void, and leap headfirst into a world where the future and the past exist all at once. Artwork from the regular edition reappears within the layers of the limited edition, connecting the two versions. The limited cover features an irregularly shaped cutout and holds four differently colored inserts; these, too, are concentrically die-cut to reveal the final layer, the hidden object emerging from within: the disc itself, an artifact to be unearthed and listened to. The inner sheets can be rotated randomly, ensuring that every single copy of the limited edition has a slightly different appearance.
With the new single now streaming, the group states, “The title ‘Silence Dances’ is a bit of a paradox, a synesthetic oxymoron. It captures what it feels like for us to play this track live.
“In the rehearsal room, we were completely swept away by its flow—this idea of diving into what feels like a ‘space with no limits,’ an ’emptiness,’ and finding something deeply revealing inside it. The first half is very physical, driven by a tumbao-like groove where the pulse becomes one with the body. It’s all about inhabiting that rhythm. But then, the movement comes to a change. The second part opens up into something longer, straighter, and more expansive. It feels like taking a deep, massive breath—a long, horizontal wave that just carries you away: hush-hush, muted language of thought… keeping pace with the unknown.”
