MOTHER AUGUSTA Announce ‘Labyrinths of Pain’ for November 7; “Deep, Dark, Silent” Leads the Way

Jam Man’s take: Italian dark-metal outfit MOTHER AUGUSTA are heading back into the shadows with Labyrinths of Pain, a six-track third album arriving November 7 through Talheim Records. The band is putting introspection, memory and suffering at the center of the record rather than chasing a glossy, easy-listening sound.

The first focus track, “Deep, Dark, Silent,” is slated for radio on October 26. The album follows 2023’s Low Lights, and the band’s press team says Zoom interviews are available—so there is an opportunity to hear directly how this chapter took shape.

Official Press Release

Italian band MOTHER AUGUSTA announce their third full-length album, Labyrinths Of Pain, due for release on November 7, 2026 via Talheim Records. The six-track album finds the band exploring reflections, memories, introspection and suffering through a more mature and cynical lens.

Described as an eternal journey that leads only to “a level below”, Labyrinths Of Pain builds on the band’s previous work with more complex songwriting and a decadent, oppressive pace. Its reflections on pain and memory leave a bitter aftertaste, drawing the listener deeper into MOTHER AUGUSTA’s world of darkness and solitude.

Labyrinths Of Pain will be available on CD and digitally via Talheim Records.

ABOUT MOTHER AUGUSTA

Formed in 2013 as an “entity” rather than a conventional band, MOTHER AUGUSTA emerged from the nocturnal streets of a silent city, dark subway stations and the aching outskirts of abandoned suburbs. Their music gives voice to obsession, trauma and loneliness.

After releasing the self-produced EP The Burning Sun Of Despair, MOTHER AUGUSTA assembled a full line-up and released their debut album, Fragile, in 2018 through Pest Productions. The record was widely praised within the Italian underground and introduced live favourites such as “Mom”, “In Myself” and the title track.

The band continued their descent into concrete and darkness with Low Lights, released in 2023 via Black Blood Records. Songs including “Hikikomori” and “Clochard Avenue” turned their live performances into journeys through solitude, memories and the darkest corners of the soul. The album’s supporting tour concluded at Berlin’s Walpurgisnacht festival, where Mother Augusta performed alongside Thy Light.
