Alternative rock band The Intemperate Sons have released their third studio album, Ephemera, through FRAME|WORK, along with a video for “Chasing the Shadows of Dragonflies.”
Produced by the band with Amir Derakh, the new album balances atmospheric guitar textures with heavier alternative-rock passages. The songs focus on memories, relationships, loss and the fleeting moments that shape people’s lives. Earlier tracks “Chew,” “Meat Suit” and “The One That Eats You” introduced the record’s darker lyrical themes.
The group includes the Watson family — Keith on drums, Jake on guitar, and Max on vocals and multiple instruments — alongside bassist Mark Marks. The band have recorded with the FRAME|WORK team led by Derakh and Ryan Shuck since 2021.
Ephemera is available on digital services now. CD and vinyl editions are expected in early November, with the group also announcing an October 24 show in Plano, Texas.
