Bronx metallic hardcore outfit XTINGUISH THE CODE have released a new video for the two-part track “Declaration/Doomsday Cult”, taken from their second album The Conflict.
The quartet’s sound is rooted in New York hardcore but pulls in metal, hip-hop and groove-heavy beatdown elements. The current lineup features bassist Dusty Onita, drummer Nate Boogie, guitarist The Professor G Flava and vocalist BJ Allen.
The Conflict is the band’s first conceptual full-length, tracing the transformation of ordinary people into politically awakened and radicalized citizens. “Declaration/Doomsday Cult” pushes that theme into questions of prescribed narratives, faith and manipulation.
The video was directed by Derek Soto at Fuse-Brooklyn, using the venue’s large LED virtual-production walls to place the band inside a series of stark visual environments.
XTINGUISH THE CODE are continuing to play across the New York metropolitan and tri-state area while already recording new material for 2027. Upcoming dates include October 24 in Staten Island and Beast Fest appearances in Queens and Clearfield, Pennsylvania in November.
