Power Take Off have released the official music video for “Cornfields at Midnight”, bringing the band’s Midwestern roots directly into the visual story.
The video was filmed in part on the Theis family’s 210-acre farm in Madison, Wisconsin. The band built the concept around growth, time and the way rural communities change as farmland gives way to development.
The single was produced by Chuck Alkazian at Pearl Sound Studios and released through ANRGIRL/Betachain with distribution through FUGA/Universal. It follows the band’s recent momentum with “Dixie Cup,” which has crossed 100,000 streams.
At the center of Power Take Off are father-and-son duo Scott and Ayden Theis. Scott, a fourth-generation farmer and longtime musician, handles lead vocals, while Ayden drives the band from behind the drum kit. Their live shows also flip that setup at times, with Scott returning to drums and Ayden stepping to the microphone.
Power Take Off continue to tour through Wisconsin this fall, with dates in Deforest, Deerfield, Newville, Howard and Ridgeway.
