GRAVE DIGGER have released one of the most serious previews yet from Faces of Pain. “The Number” pairs the band’s riff-driven mid-tempo heavy metal with Chris Boltendahl’s reflection on dehumanization, historical memory and the need to resist hatred.
The single follows the album announcement and gives the January 15, 2027 Reaper Entertainment release a darker thematic edge ahead of the band’s “Legends Never Die” tour.
Official Press Release
German heavy metal legends GRAVE DIGGER present “The Number,” the new single from their upcoming studio album Faces of Pain, set for release January 15, 2027 via Reaper Entertainment.
Musically, the track is built around a riff-driven mid-tempo foundation, a massive chorus and Chris Boltendahl’s vocals. The band describes the song as a statement against forgetting the horrors of the past and a message for peace and human dignity.
