German black metal band Heimdalls Wacht will release their ninth studio album, Sphärenschänder: Echoes Of An Old Belief – Part I, on October 31 through Talheim Records.
The band says the record pulls together its melancholic black-metal roots with folk, doom, progressive, melodic, thrash and death-metal influences. Its central narrative follows Heimdall awakening from a long sleep and confronting a changed world while searching for traces of older spiritual traditions.
All concepts, music and lyrics were created by Saruman. The album was recorded, mixed, mastered and produced by Mario at Liquid Aether Studio with Saruman, and includes guest vocals from Córka on “Echo Eines Alten Glaubens.”
