Generation Steel Release “Fields Of Pain” Ahead of ‘Steelmachine’

Jam Man take: Generation Steel are keeping the old-school German heavy-metal engine running, but “Fields Of Pain” is more than swords-and-steel imagery. The track uses battle language as a stand-in for the fights people carry around every day.

Official Press Release

Generation Steel have released “Fields Of Pain,” the fourth single from their upcoming album Steelmachine, due October 16 through Fireflash Records. A visualizer accompanies the song.

Founder and guitarist Jack the Riffer describes the song as a metaphor for personal battles, doubts and hopelessness, with the central idea that the will to keep going can be stronger than fear.

Steelmachine was made with producer Piet Sielck of Iron Savior and introduces a revamped lineup featuring vocalist Mike Stark, lead guitarist Thilo Herrmann, Jack the Riffer on rhythm guitar, bassist Fabian Watermann and drummer Marc Laukel.

Generation Steel will join Mystic Prophecy and Iron Savior on the Heavy Metal Mania Tour across Germany and Belgium in November and December.
