Jam Man take: Sabaton and Pop Evil just turned an upcoming tour connection into an actual collaboration. The new version of “Templars” adds Pop Evil frontman Leigh Kakaty to the track and gives fans a preview of the energy these bands are about to bring together on the road.

Sabaton have released a new version of “Templars” featuring Leigh Kakaty of Pop Evil. The collaboration was performed live for the first time at Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky.
Sabaton vocalist Joakim Brodén said the original “Templars” connected strongly with fans when it introduced the band’s 11th studio album, Legends, and that teaming with Pop Evil made perfect sense ahead of their shared North American tour.
A new visualizer/lyric video has also been released. Sabaton’s 2026 USA and Canada run is scheduled for late September through mid-December, with Pop Evil and Wings of Steel on the tour.
