LAKE Return With New Single “Ordinary People” From ‘FOUR!’

Anglo-German rock group LAKE have announced “Ordinary People,” a new single from their comeback album FOUR!. The song is currently available digitally, with a radio impact date of October 30, 2026.

Established in the 1970s, LAKE built an international audience with melodic, West Coast-influenced rock. Their early success led to American touring and appearances alongside acts including Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Chicago, Santana and Rory Gallagher.

Original member Detlef Petersen resumed developing new songs in 2018 with fellow original musicians Martin Tiefensee, Geoffrey Peacey and Alex Conti. The current project also includes singers Rob Reynolds and Ian Cussick. Acclaimed drummer Kenny Aronoff recorded the drum parts for FOUR! in Los Angeles.

According to promotional materials, “Ordinary People” addresses the dangers of false promises and following deceptive leaders. Its gradually building arrangement reflects that lyrical urgency.

More information is available at lake-band.com. The band have also shared a video teaser.
