NEW SINGLE/VIDEO “CHAINSAW CULT” ONLINE NOW

M-Theory Audio is thrilled to announce the official signing of Swedish old-school death metal upstarts FARSOTH! To celebrate the alliance, the band release a brand-new single and music video for “Chainsaw Cult,” serving as the crushing first taste of their upcoming third full-length album, slated for release in the spring of 2027.

Founded in 2020 by former CARNAL FORGE/IN THY DREAMS guitarist Jari Kuusisto, FARSOTH has quickly carved out a ferocious reputation for unyielding and punishing extremity. The band’s upcoming 2027 full-length will mark their eagerly awaited M-Theory Audio debut, following a pair of celebrated releases that established them as the next emerging powerful force in the Swedish death metal underground.

Guitarist Jari Kuusisto comments on the partnership:

“Farsoth are thrilled to finally announce that we have inked a new recording deal with M-Theory Audio. We are really looking forward to seeing where this will take the band. We’ve known this for some time, and now we can also let you know. M-Theory Audio feels like a fantastic match for Farsoth, and we are looking forward to what doors this will open for us. Stay tuned for new music in the coming months. Album number 3 will be released in 2027. Join the madness and see you in 2027.”

Giving fans an inside look at the sonic violence driving the new material, vocalist Joakim Mikiver explains the inspiration behind the band’s lead single:

“The song ‘Chainsaw Cult’ is a celebration of the HM-2 pedal, which is a pillar stone in the Swedish Old School Death Metal scene. It’s all about the Death Metal Cvlt. This song is our way to pay tribute to the music that we all grew up listening to.”

About FARSOTH

Formed in Sweden in 2020 by former Carnal Forge/In Thy Dreams guitarist Jari Kuusisto, recruiting vocalist Joakim Mikiver and bassist Jonas Magnusson (both from Facebreaker) FARSOTH emerged with a singular mission – to deliver uncompromising, high-velocity death metal steeped in the rich traditions of the Swedish underground. Combining chainsaw guitar tones with ferocious hooks and relentless momentum, the band independently released their debut effort, ‘The Plague,’ in 2022. Guitarist Johnny Nymark (Fuel For Nightmares, One Hour Hell) joined in time to be part of their sophomore album, ‘Morbid Symphonies’ (Black Lion Records), in 2023, earning widespread acclaim across extreme metal circles and proving their mettle on live stages with several club and festival appearances. Now with a full-time drummer Staffan Lundholm (Dr. Living Dead!, Bibleblack) joining the ranks the band wrote and recorded a punishing new album, ‘Dominion of the Dead,’ for release next spring worldwide on M-Theory Audio. Now, with a powerhouse partnership forged FARSOTH is poised to unleash their most devastating material yet. Prepare the pits—the Chainsaw Cult is officially rising.
