NECROPANTHER Unleash “The Thing From Another World” Ahead of The Book Of Change

Denver’s NECROPANTHER are going straight for the throat with “The Thing From Another World,” a blackened thrash track built around furious riffs and an unexpectedly melodic, harmonized middle section. The new song arrives ahead of The Book Of Change, the band’s fifth full-length, due November 13, 2026.

What makes this one stand out is the concept: the album takes its inspiration from transformation and body horror in works including The Thing, The Fly, Faust and The Tempest. The band produced the record, with mixing by Kurt Ballou and mastering by Alan Douches. Check out the track and the full announcement below.

“The Thing From Another World” is the latest single from Denver blackened thrash alchemists NECROPANTHER. The track comes by way of the band’s impending new full-length, The Book Of Change, set for release on November 13.

NECROPANTHER fuses thrash, death and black metal into a distinctive sound built on blistering riffs, intricate arrangements and memorable songwriting.

Guitarist Joe Johnson describes the song as a lean, direct blackened thrash piece with an orchestrated melodic middle section. He explains that the band builds a harmonized guitar melody before a solo, drawing on Thin Lizzy and Helloween influences. The shapeshifting creature in the title reflects the album’s broader exploration of transformation and consequences.

Johnson says The Book Of Change draws on science fiction, horror and literature including The Tempest, The Thing, The Fly, Faust and the video game Rampage.

The album artwork is by Max Sherman. The album was produced by NECROPANTHER, engineered by Felipe Patino at Green Door Recordings in Denver, mixed by Kurt Ballou at GodCity Studio in Salem, Massachusetts, and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music in New York. CD and digital formats are planned.
