Testament frontman Chuck Billy will release his memoir Holding My Breath: The Two Testaments of Chuck Billy on November 10 through Permuted Press.
Co-written with Dave Erickson, the book follows Billy from the rise of Bay Area thrash metal through the personal and professional battles that shaped his life, including his cancer diagnosis and recovery, his Native American and Mexican-American heritage, and the community that rallied around him during the Thrash of the Titans era.
The memoir features a foreword by Rob Halford of Judas Priest and an afterword by Randy Blythe of Lamb of God.
Several appearances are planned around the release, including an October 29 in-store event in Phoenix, a November 10 release party in Seal Beach with Jose Mangin and Brian Posehn, and a November 14 event in Dublin, California with Phil and Marta Demmel and Posehn.
