Chicago metal band Repentance have released a deeply personal new video for “Fade Into Silence,” dedicating the song to founding guitarist Shaun Glass, who died unexpectedly on July 1, 2026.
The track appears on the band’s upcoming third album, Retaliate, now scheduled for November 27, 2026 through Noble Demon. The band moved the release from its original summer date following Glass’ death.
Vocalist Adam Gilley said the song was chosen because Glass wrote it and because it felt like the right piece of music to carry his memory forward.
Glass spent more than four decades in the Chicago metal scene and was connected to Terminal Death, Sindrome, Broken Hope, SOiL, Dirge Within, The Bloodline and Repentance.
Retaliate was produced by Alex Lackner at Accelerated Sound and mixed by Ari Mihalopoulos at Inner Light Studio.
