EXTINCTION A.D. are keeping their foot on the gas. The Long Island crossover crew have dropped ‘Escape From L.I.’, their eighth single in eight months, pairing thrash and hardcore with bilingual vocals, Latin percussion and a pointed message about the hate and division singer/guitarist Rick Jimenez says he has watched grow around his home turf.
The track is streaming now alongside a new lyric video. It also extends a relentless 2026 run that has included ‘They Live, They Die,’ ‘Center Of Zero,’ ‘Truth and Consequences,’ ‘Thaw,’ ‘Dead Men Running,’ ‘Blood Hoax’ and ‘Insomnia.’ More than a decade into the band’s run, EXTINCTION A.D. are still finding ways to make crossover sound urgent instead of nostalgic.

High-octane crossover hardcore/thrash powerhouse EXTINCTION A.D. release the eighth single in as many months today. ‘Escape From L.I.’ is online now at all digital streaming/download platforms, as well as a new lyric video – WATCH HERE.
Rick Jimenez says the song addresses the worsening atmosphere of hate and division he has seen on Long Island and stresses the importance of calling it out. He also describes using Spanish vocals and bringing bomba and reggaeton touches into the band’s thrash/hardcore framework.
