Rocking With Jam Man: Droid Killer are treating this as more than an album rollout. The project is being built as a full sci-fi metal world, with music, story and visual mythology all feeding the same human-versus-machine apocalypse.
Droid Killer Announce ‘2030 JiHad’
Droid Killer have announced their next full-length album, 2030 JiHad, scheduled for May 21, 2027, and have released its title track.
The record is described as the sequel to the band’s 2023 debut album The Terminator vs. The Preacher. The new material continues Droid Killer’s science-fiction concept centered on a future conflict between humanity and machines.
The album was mixed and produced by Brian J. Sienkevich and mastered by Ted Jensen, with cover artwork by Zachary Jackson Brown.
Droid Killer say the project will extend beyond the record itself, with a companion novel and merchandise planned as part of the release campaign.
Musically, the band describe their sound as a collision of death metal, doom-metal weight and classic-rock movement, wrapped inside an ongoing apocalyptic storyline.
