Jam Man take: Elysion are leaning into the emotional side of gothic metal with “Dead Loves.” Instead of treating a relationship ending like a clean break, the song asks what happens to the feeling itself when the people involved move on.

Greek dark atmospheric metal band Elysion have released “Dead Loves,” the third single from their upcoming album Identity, due October 16 through Massacre Records.
Vocalist Christianna describes it as probably the most romantic song the band has written, combining a half-retro, half-modern gothic atmosphere with the idea that love may change form without simply disappearing.
Identity was produced by Fotis Benardo with Elysion at Devasoundz Studio, mixed by Benardo and mastered by Nasos Nomikos at VU Productions. The album marks 20 years since the band formed and includes guest appearances by Sakis Tolis of Rotting Christ and Konstantinos Togas of Nightrage and Herta.
