Niagara Falls is packed with attractions, but Niagara Escapement delivers something different: an experience that makes your whole group think, communicate and laugh together. After trying Easy Bake Coven, we can say without hesitation that this was an amazing escape room.
Easy Bake Coven is a private, 60-minute adventure built for two to four players. The public story sounds simple: while wandering through the woods, your group discovers an old shack, gets captured by a witch and must solve a series of magical puzzles before becoming her next meal. What follows is creative, funny, surprising and much smarter than a basic collection of locks and number codes.
A theme that is fun instead of frightening
The witch-themed setup could easily have been turned into a dark horror room, but Easy Bake Coven takes a more playful storybook approach. It has enough atmosphere to pull you into the world without making younger players feel like they walked into a haunted house. The name tells you a lot about the room’s personality: clever, slightly twisted and never too serious.
That balance is one of the biggest reasons it works for both kids and adults. Younger players can enjoy the magic, props and hands-on discoveries. Adults still get puzzles that require attention, communication and real teamwork. Nobody feels like the room was designed only for one age group.
Creative puzzles with a smooth flow
A great escape room should make you feel challenged without making you feel cheated. Easy Bake Coven gets that right. The clues reward observation and communication, and the solutions feel satisfying because they connect to the theme instead of appearing as random obstacles placed around the room.
We will not spoil any of the actual puzzles, but the room does a strong job of giving every person something to notice or contribute. It encourages players to talk, compare what they have found and work together. The experience keeps moving, yet still gives you those moments when the group suddenly sees the connection and everything clicks.
Niagara Escapement calls Easy Bake Coven its most beginner-friendly game and lists a 50 percent success rate. That does not mean it is boring or automatic. It means the room teaches you how its world works and gives first-time players a fair chance while still offering enough personality and challenge for people who have played escape rooms before.

The staff made the visit feel welcoming from the moment we arrived. An escape room can have impressive props and clever technology, but the people running it still control the pace and atmosphere. Niagara Escapement feels like a place created by people who genuinely enjoy games and want their guests to have a good time.

Niagara Escapement also operates a Nerd Café and lounge with hundreds of board games, snacks and drinks. For adults, the café/lounge is fully licensed and serves alcohol to guests of legal drinking age. There is also a legal cannabis dispensary nearby on Queen Street. That gives grown-up groups more options when planning an evening in the downtown Niagara Falls area, while the escape rooms and game collection remain fun and accessible for families.
