Meet Kendall Street Company

Roy plays bass in Kendall Street Company, a band whose catalog moves freely between improvisational rock, funk, psychedelia, humor and harder-edged sounds. Their shows are known for spontaneous musical turns and unexpected moments. That approach doesn’t draw a wall between rock subgenres; it invites listeners to hear the connections.

The current five-member lineup features Louis Smith on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Brian Roy on bass, Ryan Wood on drums, Ben Laderberg on lead guitar, and Jake Vanaman on saxophone and keyboards. The group has shared stages with acts including Goose, Umphrey’s McGee and Andy Frasco and has developed a wide-ranging live catalog.

If you’re getting to know Kendall Street Company, start with the interview, explore their records and check their official site for shows. Thanks to Brian for joining me on Rocking With Jam Man.
