Rocking With Jam Man Talks With THE AMATORY MURDER
Rocking With Jam Man Talks With THE AMATORY MURDER about their new album Singularity Complex, and their new single Are We The Machines? and what the song and video were about, the remix of their album, we talk about touring, and what is next for the band
THE AMATORY MURDER is based out of Brooklyn, NY who employ a variety of foundational textures to create an ethereal landscape, grungy punk sensibilities, and pop beat arrangements. Combined with heavy guitars and catchy hooks, the tracks are topped off with melodic lyrics. They have previously toured alongside a range of artists including Stabbing Westward, Julien-K, Combichrist, The Dreaming, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult and the Red Paintings.
THE AMATORY MURDER released their sixth record and third full-length album, Singularity Complex, at the end of 2020 which includes current singles “Master”, “My Love” and “Room 208.” Though the album’s theme is meant to be abstruse, overarching ideas of technology, government, and media are personified to give life to these otherwise dark times. The album is a cathartic, cerebral journey that catapults the listener into a hauntingly beautiful, dystopian society without ever compromising their brand artistry. Earlier this year the band released a remix version of the album–‘Cybernetic Enhancements: Singularity Complex Remixed’ with reimagined versions of the band’s music by other artists and DJs.
