Rocking With Jam Man talks with Daniel Morales about his new track sharky 2.0 and why it is not a sequel to baby shark, math rock, touring and more
Renowned guitarist and Venezuelan composer, Daniel Morales, has released a remake version of his popular song “SHARKY” from his full-length album DUNNY TUNES. The new single, titled “SHARKY 2.0,” features Magnus Steed on bass and also the incredible talent of Chris Allison from Plini on drums, who adds a new level of musicality and energy to the track. “SHARKY 2.0” is an energetic piece of progressive music, with intricate guitar riffs and unique effects that add depth to the listening experience. Mangus Steed’s bass playing complements Allison’s driving rhythm with complex bass lines, highlighting the musical skill and vision of Morales. The single was produced and mixed by the well-known Australian bassist Simon Grove from Plini, who brought his signature sound to the track, elevating it to new heights. The mastering was done by talented Venezuelan engineer Moises D’ Bello, ensuring that every note and nuance of the music was captured and presented in the best possible way. “SHARKY 2.0” is less than a minute long, yet it is a must-listen for fans of progressive music and math rock. The track is a testament to Morales’ skill as a guitarist and composer, and the incredible talent of his collaborators. This new version of “SHARKY” truly honors the original track and gives it a well-deserved upgrade, showcasing the true potential of instrumental guitar music. This single is now available for streaming and download on all major music platforms. Music Tabs will be available for sale later this year. Single Visualizer: https://www.youtube.com/watch? It’s an incredibly energetic and fun track, with a unique and fast-paced dynamic between guitars, bass, and drums that really sets it apart. When I first wrote the song, I didn’t think much of it – it was just one of many tracks that I compiled for my album, DUNNY TUNES. However, things changed when I started playing it live as an interlude track for some of the Aurora Dream shows. The audience’s enthusiastic response was amazing, and they always requested it as part of our setlists,” says Daniel. He adds, “For the new version of “SHARKY”, I was lucky to have the help of Chris, Simon, Mangus & Moises, who helped me reimagine the track into something much more polished and exciting. The result is an emerging experience that captures the essence of the original, but takes it to a whole new level. I’m incredibly grateful for their contributions and can’t wait for everyone to hear it.” |
